1-2-3 Textured Products offers hands-on early childhood curriculum products designed by educators.  They are also really fun, easy to do, and adorable ways to enhance curriculum you are already working on or just to pass a rainy day.  My kids and I love crafts, and I was excited to surprise my 3.5 year old with this Tuggy the Tractor craft kit that we received.

1-2-3 offers 2 basic lines- sticker and craft kits.  You can get individual kits or a subscription which will get you, say, a month’s worth of kits/activities.  I like the options you have with this site.  Several categories to choose from, and then several items within each category, so you can be fairly certain to find something to go with any theme you may be working on with your child/class, or just something in the kids’ specific interests.

Having a background myself in Early Childhood Education, I know how important experiences with different mediums and different textures is.  I also believe firmly in letting children express themselves as they would like to- which is why I didn’t direct my little guy to put anything on his Tuggy- I simply gave it to him, and explained that he’d need to put glue where he wants things to stick, but that this was his tractor project to do what he wanted.  We discussed the feel and look of each component, and my little man had a blast doing this- although as you can see- he quite happily put things anywhere BUT on his tractor (he didn’t want to make it look different).  I’m ok with it.  He loved it, and was so excited that something came in the mail just for mommy and him to do together! (If you can’t tell by the gloss in the photos, he also REALLY loves using glue sticks.  A lot.)

The 1-2-3 Textured kits are definitely not something I can afford to have for every day, although a subscription does drop the price from $4.99 a pack to $12.00 for the entire month (plus shipping charges).  We do some homeschool work here with the kids and I do think this is a site I will bookmark for some fun craft ideas to enhance our curriculum!!

I received a sample of this product to facilitate my review through my affiliation with MamaBuzz.  Opinions expressed within are my own. [ad#glam between posts]
