Back in April, I did a review of Boiron’s line of cough and cold remedies for children.  When I learned they wanted some bloggers to review their Arnicare gel, I jumped at the chance.  We’ve had such great experiences using homeopathic remedies for so many things in our family, and I know for me, I always feel better knowing that someone else has used and felt good about the results from using a product that’s new to me.

If you are not yet familiar with what Arnicare actually is, its a gel (also comes in other forms) that provides relief from Muscle Aches, stiffness, bruising and swelling.  Its derived from Arnica montana- a mountain daisy! I’m not going to go into every detail about the makeup and ingredients of Arnicare- you can find that here.

I really like the Arnicare gel.  Its not too greasy, not too hard to rub in (and you can rub it gently, because when you are using it, its for a painful reason!!) and its effective.  I use this on my little guy when he bumps his head 40 times a day (he has big feet and – well, he’s three.  He’s not really concerned about watching where he’s going and he’s the exact height of the bottom of our counters.  Poor kid).

Arnicare is great for little kids (big kids and adults, too).  When they run into the chair and hurt their leg- put a little Arnicare on it!! Did a bit much during your morning workout?  Rub some Arnicare on it!  Its a great drug-free way of getting some pain relief.  Very versatile, and a little goes a long way.  I like how the sizes are fairly small so you can leave one in your medicine cabinet and keep one in your gym bag.

I’ve used this on myself a lot- I have a tendency to not always, um, pay a lot of attention to where I’m going (wonder where my little guy gets that from…) and always seem to have banged up shins and legs-using the Arnicare gel definitely helps to minimize bruising for me, and I have always bruised easily. A bonus?  No strong scent.

Want to try some for yourself? Download Arnicare Coupons and head to your local natural food or vitamin shop (or use the store locator).  Its also available at many online retailers like Amazon, for example. http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=this0a9-20&o=1&p=8&l=bpl&asins=B001G7QHY4&fc1=000000&IS2=1&lt1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr
