Back to School First Aid Kits (Giveaway)

band aid first aid kit

Since the kids went back to school, we’ve gone through 2 entire boxes of Band-Aids, plus half a tube of Neosporin.  I’m totally serious.  I think the increase in boo-boos is from the kids being so tired from the new routine of school, but whatever the reason, my kids seem to drop like flies when we’re outside playing.  Of course, they will take any chance they can get to use a Band-Aid, because I love to buy the fun character ones (I adore the Muppets Band-Aids, and we have many, many boxes stashed away).  Having a well-stocked First Aid Kit is always a good idea, and what better time to make one than Back to School?

Band-Aid has created some Back to School First Aid Kits stocked with essentials to keep on hand for the playground, including NEOSPORIN® antibiotic ointment, new BAND-AID® Brand Adhesive Bandages with QuiltVent® technology and Muppets BAND-AID® Brand Adhesive Bandages.

One lucky reader will win a Band-Aid Back to School First Aid Kit (ARV $40)

I will receive a first aid kit of my own to thank me for taking the time to share this post.  Opinions are my own.

  • I love this giveaway! My daughter is always digging in the drawer where we keep most of this stuff and then it ends up getting misplaced. This is a really neat idea!

  • After having 6 kids and now day care in our home, we should have bought stock in Band Aid brand! Even though our kids are bigger now, my daughter still loves to buy the character ones. Has been fun to see them all change through the past years. Boo Boos always feel better with them. I have a son who’s a tough sports player…and he has used plenty this past summer in baseball from sliding and now for football. A daughter in 4 sports also keeps us in that Band Aid aisle. And many a one on my husband for the oopsies he has from around the house projects. LOL> !

  • We keep lots of bandaids in our house. Hello Kitty for my oldest girl, superheroes for my oldest boy, Dora the Explorer for my youngest girl and the baby gets whichever. The other day I found him in the bathroom getting the circular bandaids and putting them on his feet.

  • My little 2 year old girl is a very active little monkey and always has some sort of bruise or scrape. Love the Muppets bandaids, she would rock those with pride!

  • I request samples of common OTC medicines to keep in my First Aid / Emergency Preparedness kit! Free is good, and I can change them out when they’ve expired without the cost of buying a full-size product.

  • Lollipops are essential for a First Aid kit–I recommend DumDums!

  • There are one-time use ice packs that use some sort of chemical inside to activate the coldness. That would be a good idea for a first aid kit.

  • Every First Aid Kit needs lollipops!!

  • Another tip for First Aid kits is to keep OTC medicines in them, but always check expiration dates! They need to be replaced every so often.

  • I think it’s a good idea to have more than one First Aid kit! It’s important to have one in the car as well as the house, but I also have one in my office.

    Thanks!

  • You have to have something to put the first aid items in. What works well is a fishing tackle box. It has sections for the different items.
