Dr. Hess Udder Ointment sent us some of their udder ointment as well as some of their udder sticks to try.
Its great. My cracked heels are actually a lot less cracked after using this for 2 weeks. That makes me happy. (And when mama’s happy, everybody’s happy, right? )
Here are some snippets of info I found on the site that I thought you might like to see:
What is in Dr Hess Udder Ointment?
Dr Hess Udder Ointment contains 13 emollients or skin
moisturizers/softeners, as well as a blood circulating and
oxygenating ingredient, Menthyl Salicylate (which also gives it
the minty smell, and a few antibacterial agents.
Why does it work so well?
Dr Hess Udder Ointment works so effectively because it also
contains an ingredient which opens skin pores. Once the pores
are open, the 13 emollients are allowed to enter deep into the
skin and begin the healing process.
And is it all natural?
The one non-natural ingredient, petrolatum (same as Vaseline) has
a characteristic of then rising to the surface of the skin
acting as a protectorant against further skin damage and
allowing the emmolients time to heal and soften the skin.
This totally explains why my heels are looking better. More importantly, feeling better!! I won’t lie, there is a little bit of a minty smell- it isn’t offensive or anything, mint just isn’t high on my list of favorite scents. I’m a fruity girl, sometimes lilac or peony. Which brings me to share about the udder sticks.
The pomegranate? LOVE it. The mango smells nice too but I am trying to hold onto that until the pomegranate is gone.
If you want to try Udder Ointment for next to nothing, head over to their site and sign up for their newsletter- you can request some free samples and pay just .98 shipping. (Plus, sample sizes of creams and lotions are perfect for pocketbooks, gymbags, diaper bags, etc.).
I was provided with samples of this product to facilitate my review but all opinions expressed within are my own.
