>Yes, of course I love shoes. How can I not? I haven’t met many women who don’t. I miss the shoes I could wear before having kids. My feet grew longer (and wider!) with each pregnancy and to date, have not returned to their former size. I fear my size 7.5-8 shoes are a permanent thing of my past. RIP, old shoes. R.I.P. I’d love new shoes for Valentine’s Day. I’d love workout shoes too…
Anyway, now that I’m taking the proverbial bull by the horns and trying to regain my shape- and my HEALTH, for that matter, a natural extension of this will be exercise, in one form or another. (My body is screaming in protest even as I type this…). I feel like I almost hate exercise enough that excuses to not do it fall into my lap. Like- my kids are not good sleepers. Its far easier to sleep an extra 20 minutes a day than to set an alarm and try to get up before them. But honestly? I *NEED* to make the time. Some way, some how.
This is where NGR shoes come in. Right now, I have 3 sick little kids. Sick, with scarlet fever, and one has a bonus ear infection. (Pharmaceutical industry, we’re keeping you afloat in this house. Thank you’s are welcome). I have had even less sleep – and energy- than normal. Add in the winter weather we’re being innundated with here in the northeast, and guess what? This Mama Loves to find excuses to not exercise…and here are many all tucked into one nice package.
But wait. I haven’t had time nor energy to hit the gym. Nor the ability to take a walk outside (first of all, we have no sidewalks in town….secondly…its been heavily precipitating and my kids are SICK, remember?). Yet, I have sore muscles.
Because of my new NGR shoes (which, ladies and gents, come in PINK!!). I’ve been wearing them in the house- and although it is a bit weird to have them on the first 10 minutes, they are great. And, I’m sore. Not a ton sore, but a little sore. My workout? Chasing 3 kids who have cabin fever and don’t feel well but are chomping at the bit to DO something and can’t…and doing the stairs to the second floor and down the other stairs into the basement, multiple times per day.
NGR shoes come with 2 insoles. One has very minimal weight- good for strenuous exercise. Those are tucked away into the insole box. They ALSO come with weighted insoles- 1.5-2lbs per insole (depends on your shoe size).
So when you wear your shoes, you’re already adding weight. Which means your body is working harder to even just walk around the house. Which means you are getting at least a tiny bit of exercise when you otherwise (*ahem* me) wouldn’t be doing/getting.
Features of NGR Shoes:
Includes two midsoles.
1) Just a few ounces: Turns NGR Shoes into an everyday cross trainer.
2) Weighted midsole: 1.5 – 2 lbs per foot based on shoe size. Turns NGR Shoes into a gym on your feet!
Easy use … Get an Anytime. Anywhere. No Excuses. workout
Helps burn up to 50% more calories
Strengthen, tone, firm and shape the lower body and core
Increase muscle endurance and reduce fatigue over time
The price won’t even break the bank. Women’s and Men’s are $135.99. Which yes, I do realize isn’t super cheap, but we can’t afford a gym membership where they offer childcare, so $135.99 to get me some movement and resistance thru the winter months is VERY reasonable to me!! Plus, the shoes are really nice quality. It’s a way to keep our healthy resolutions on a continuum.
What are you waiting for? OH!! One of my readers will win a $50 Gift Certificate to use at NGR!!
