Serif Platinum CraftArtist Giveaway- What a Mom Wants

0 Flares 0 Flares ×

With so much going digital these days, it isn’t surprising that crafts can be done digitally too. CraftArtist Platinum offers an affordable way for you to make a multitude of print projects at home, with a professional look to them!

We’ve been having some fun playing around with this- we made some really cute pinwheels to sit atop cupcakes (super simple to print, and the kids loved having them- although around here we call them “spinwheels” and I’m not sure why.  You can make cupcake wrappers- predesigned or make your own.  Want to make custom birthday cards? You can do that too!  One thing that really impressed me with this program is that there are photo editing tools- which usually costs far more than $59.99 to purchase- the cost of this 5 disc product!  Obviously the photo editing software won’t include all of the features of a larger, exclusively for photo editing program, but for what most of us need and can use easily, this is perfect!

  • Get stunning results with this easy-to-use software
  • Use life-like digital tools including scissors, stencils and brushes
  • All content is super high definition and incredibly detailed
  • Built-in photo editor for picture-perfect images
  • 5 discs packed with tools and content
  • Create beautiful print projects – anything from greeting cards and invitations to scrapbooks and photobooks

The discs are: Baby Photos, Wedding Day, Scrapbooks & Greeting Cards, in addition to the main program disc.  Installation is simple and finished within 30 minutes for me (which I think would be shorter if you weren’t constantly interrupted by a 1, 3 and 5 year old every 4.1 seconds!!)  I love that they have included so much in one box- instead of buying several programs you get them all at one price.

You can do all kinds of fancy things to your images and projects- stencils, brush ‘strokes’ and techniques, different scissors (which is one of my favorite features- I love fun scissors) and options are almost limitless when you combine this with photo editing.  Want to make a baby shower invitation with photos of the mom and dad as babies?  You can do it!  A photo book for grandma?  You can make that too- all online.  This is nice because you can save the files digitally and share them electronically- so Cousin Frank in Omaha can check it out and decide to print or not- without you going to the cost or time to print and send one to him!!

Aside from the super cute pinwheels for cupcakes (what a cute idea for a topper!!- and be sure to use a cardstock to print on), we’ve also made some cute cards to send (and like a dummy, there are all my kids’ names on these things, so I can’t share the photos of what we did), which the kids thought was so super cool to help me choose the colors and added effects on before printing.  I can’t wait until they are able to do things like this themselves and make me creations too!!

I’m going to start a photobook for each of the kids for their birthday, using this program- they will get a huge kick out of it and it’ll be such a nice memento for them to look back on when they get older.  I am such a sentimental girl, anything close to a memento makes me all mushy inside!  Plus, I’m so good about taking photos, and h-o-r-r-i-b-l-e about printing them.  Seriously.  I have thousands on discs.  Thousands.  They need to get some exposure to daylight and be printed!!

My next project to attempt with this will be making some gift bags.  I hate spending money on wrapping paper, its just so darn wasteful, and I’m kind of excited to see how to MAKE a gift bag!  How cute to have the birthday kid’s face all over the bag!!

One of my readers will win this CraftArtist Platinum from Serif!
