I know a few schools don’t start until the 10th but for the most part, everyone’s back into the swing of things…including sharing germs.  Kids in school=shared germs.  There’s no way to avoid it.  It happens every year.Kleenex’s Back to School Website has a lot of great tips for protecting your kids (and you) from those germs- and some FUN activities too!

  • I recommend using a big wipe board to keep track of after-school activities, due dates, etc…and keep it in the kitchen where everybody can see it!

  • To get the kids used to the time they have to get up for school by starting a bedtime schedule a few weeks before school starts. Also keeping an eye out for coupons and sales when school ends for the year to stock up for the following year.

  • My best tip is to try to get kids into the routine BEFORE classes begin! We start heading to bed early at least a week before school starts.

  • I’ve found that preparing the night before has taken a lot of stress off in the morning getting ready for school. No rummaging through the whole room looking for something to wear, backpack is already by the door and ready to go.
