Are you on a weight loss journey? How are you doing?

I lost .6 this past week.  Not the best, but not the worst.  Still LOVING the Biscuits and Gravy!!  I’m trying to prepare myself physically and mentally for my big trip to LA next week- I will be armed with Nutrisystem tools and I know I can text my Nutrisystem buddies for support if need be- its just going to be a very different situation than being here at home or close to home to have my normal snacks and foods right there where I want and need them. 

We’ve been grilling a lot, which is a bit of a change since the weather’s finally cooperating with the calendar, so lots and lots of grilled veggies for me!  I’ve been grilling my Italian Flatbread Pizzas which gives them a whole new flavor and doesn’t make me feel like I’m missing out on the barbeque fun. 

I’m wondering – do any of you have tips and tricks for surviving BBQ season and picnics while losing weight?

I also want to make a suggestion, I know I link to several other Nutrisystem bloggers each week, but two of them have worked through bumps in the road and are a source of inspiration to me and I want  you guys to go read up and see how Heather from Living on Love and Cents and Heather from Our Kids Mom have been doing with the program.  Amazing.  I’m so proud of them!!   Please do leave them words of encouragement!!

  • I love reading Our Kids Mom. I have been trying to lose 10 pounds since my 2nd son was born 9 months ago and I just can’t seem to do it. I eat gluten-free b/c I have celiac and I eat pretty healthy. I don’t have time to work out (unless I only get 6 hours of sleep a night and wake up at 5 am!) b/c I am a full-time mom to two little boys ( 9 months and 2 1/2 years old!). I am beginning to think I might never lose it! It is getting frustrating. I also need to tighten up my abdomen, which won’t happen without a lot of exercise!
