>Word Girl: Tricks & Treats Review

>Now that it’s October, we’ve got Halloween on the mind, almost nonstop.  I’m fairly certain the kids’ costumes will be well broken in and pumpkins carved long before the 31st.  One thing that I’ll accept full responsibility of is sharing things like the Word Girl Tricks & Treats DVD with the kids.  If they are going to watch TV, it might as well be something fun and festive, no?

Word Girl Tricks & Treats is definitely helping us to get excited for Halloween.  We don’t often watch superhero WordGirl and Captain Huggy but we did enjoy this DVD- and I love, as a mom, how the kids are exposed to different vocabulary words in each episode.  In this DVD alone there are 16 words introduced!!  There are 8 episodes plus extras like some games, and coloring pages (we spend hours coloring around here, I’m always happy for new material!!) and even some resources for the parents.

Episodes include: Tobey’s Tricks & Treats
Becky and the Bard
Lunch Lady Chuck
A Vote for Becky
Class Act
Villain School
Tobey’s Masterpiece
Who Wants Candy?

The DVD bonus features include interactive games and coloring pages.

I was provided with a copy of this DVD to facilitate my review.  Opinions expressed within are my own.  http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=this0a9-20&o=1&p=8&l=bpl&asins=B003M986HA&fc1=000000&IS2=1&lt1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr
