The Middle (Season Two) on DVD 9/27

In one episode of The Middle, Season Two, Brick shares Sue’s room where they accidently knock a hole in her wall, they try to fix it but only make it worse. They attempt to cover it up by putting a poster over it but it doesn’t work.

Reading that sentence made me laugh out loud.  Literally.  You see, when I was little, I was at my godmother’s lake house, and spilled red kool-aid mix on her rug.  Stupidly, instead of running to tell her I had spilled and made a mess, I got a wet towel to wipe it up.  As you can imagine…this made it 100 times worse, and I didn’t know what to do. I kind of think I may have moved a chair over the BLATANTLY obvious huge, wet, bright red stain on the light colored rug, and tried to get away with it- my godmother still laughs about it to this day- and apparently, had a good laugh when, a few years ago, she pulled up the rugs to redo her floors and discovered that while the stain had been removed from the carpeting, it was there, in all its bright red-ness, on the rug pad.  She thankfully forgave me and loves me anyway…

Have you ever been in a situation similar to Brick and Sue’s? See how the Hecks brilliantly true-to-life kids cover up their accident on The Second Season of The Middle on DVD, currently available for pre-order ( and hitting shelves on 9/27/11!  Share your stories, and make me feel better about my childhood shenanigans!

  • I LOVE this show! Just watched the hour season premiere last week. Can't get enough!
  • I saw a few episodes when this show first started and it was pretty funny. I just haven't had too much time to watch TV so I quit watching it. I should check out the DVD to catch up!
  • This sounds interesting. I will have to look into it :)
