The TiVo Premiere, along with the new TiVo Slide remote, makes discovering this Fall TV season’s best entertainment (web video, TV, and movies) easier than ever. My husband may not be huge into electronics but he and I BOTH love being able to record shows and watch something else.  It sure helps us watch together and not go our separate ways to watch programs solo!!  Plus, this isn’t just for recording regular TV shows.  It goes way beyond your neighbor’s TiVo!!

Before I go further I want to show you what the TiVo Slide Remote looks like.  Its got a fun shape.  Peanut-shaped!

Its like a clicker and a full, hidden (from kids) keyboard all in ONE!!  So much easier to search by title, actor, genre, etc. with a keyboard than using the arrows and enter keys we use now to record and search.

If you’re curious about the series that swept the 2010 Emmys, like Modern Family or Mad Men, the exclusive TiVo Search and TiVo Collections features can catch you up in a matter of clicks. Find upcoming episodes and entire previous seasons on Netflix, Amazon Video On Demand or Blockbuster On Demand*.

Tired of being the only one who didn’t see Modern Family or Glee last year? This year, subscribe to the Fall TV Guru Guide and discover all the new shows premiering this fall, so you won’t be the one to miss this season’s breakout hit. (This would be me, the one who saw neither Modern Family NOR Glee, not once, not ever).

Are you missing your favorite Lost actors and want to follow them onto their new projects? Similar to Internet Movie Database (IMDB), with TiVo Premiere you can check out everything your favorite actors have done – and then watch it right there via YouTube, Amazon VOD, Blockbuster, Netflix or your cable lineup

TiVo is not just a DVR! Use TiVo search to find your favorite TV programs, movies and Web video whether it’s on cable, Netflix, Amazon On Demand, Blockbuster On Demand, YouTube videos or more

Recent poll reveals what people are excited to watch this Fall:

The most anticipated genre this fall is suspense, and the TV theme people consider most “overdone” is reality TV. I do not eagerly await suspense but I 1000% agree that “reality TV” is waaaaaaaaaay overdone.

The most anticipated new series are Law & Order: Los Angeles and Hawaii Five-0. The most anticipated returning series are NCIS and House. Funny, because my most anticipated returning series include How I Met Your Mother, Two and a Half Men and Big Bang Theory- and for a new series- Mike & Molly!!

Almost one-third of Americans watch webisodes that accompany their favorite TV shows. Popular series that have extra web series include: Grey’s Anatomy, House, and The Office.  I am in the two-thirds who do not do this, although I might for my favorite shows.  Sigh. Perhaps if I had that cute little TiVo Premiere in my house I might be more tempted.

I think the features of the TiVo Premiere and Slide Remote that I’m most excited about are the QWERTY keyboard, that’s only accessible when you open the remote, and the fact that you can access it from a remote location.  So if there’s a new episode of the Cake Challenges on Food Network and we won’t be here, I can login to my account and tell my Premiere to record it from wherever I am!!

Become a Facebook Fan - you’ll want to, because when you do you can Enter to Win a new TiVo Slide in the “30 Slides in 30 Days” Sweepstakes.  *Sweepstakes ends 9/22/10
