More alternate universe questions (Fringe: Season 3)

Throughout most of Fringe: Season 3, Peter is in love with who he thinks is Olivia, but it’s actually Olivia from the alternate universe. When the original Olivia returns, Peter is emotionally distraught, because he realizes that he’d enjoyed spending time with the alternate Olivia. If you were Peter, what would you do in this situation? Would you stay with the alternate Olivia or return to the original Olivia who you developed an initial relationship with?

This is such a convoluded situation.  I mean, really, this is a rough choice Peter has to make.  To follow his heart he’d have to go both ways, with both Olivias, and he cannot.   Really and truly, I think he should go with the one he loves and that would be with the alternate Olivia…although how to break that to the original I don’t know.  I guess that’s what Season 4 will bring?  Answers to that and so much more drama to keep everyone interested and involved in the storyline, I am sure- and it’s what keeps viewers coming back for more, more more!  [click to continue…]

Roommate Agreements a la The Big Bang Theory

Sheldon and Leonard are best friends and roommates who pester each other to no end! This couldn’t be more apparent than in Sheldon and Leonard’s blinding Roommate Agreement. ‘The Big Bang Theory’ shows us that living with a roommate can often be a great but difficult experience.

What is your most memorable roommate experience? What do you think of Sheldon and Leonard’s relationship?

One of my favorite parts of TBBT is the Roommate Agreement.  I don’t know why but whenever that comes up during an episode I find myself anxiously waiting to hear what craziness Sheldon has come up with.  Its hilarious.  I’ve never lived with anyone Sheldon like but I know I probably would go nuts trying to live with all of those rules he has in place!!  The spot on the sofa!  He’s crazy!

the middle: season 2 on DVD/BluRay 9/27/11

Work. Kids. Bills. Comedy. It’s how the middle half lives. The Heck family returns for Season Two, bringing them 24 episodes of offbeat fun with one foot in reality and the other on a greasy wrapper from Burgerworld. Patricia Heaton and Neil Flynn star as Frankie and Mike Heck, frazzled parents trying to stretch their patience and paychecks around three brilliantly true-to-life kids: Axl, whose latest dream girl has tattoos, body piercings and pink hair; Sue, who’s thrilled to come in eighth (out of eight) in Square Dancing with the Stars; and Brick, the only kid who has his birthday party at the public library.

The Heck’s have their son Axl in football and daughter Sue in cross country. They try their best to attend their children’s events but often disagree on which event they want to attend. [click to continue…]

Supernatural Season Six on DVD- Heaven Vs Hell

Season six of Supernatural focuses on the brother’s relationship as they battle Heaven and Hell. The two brothers spend endless amounts of time traveling together, encountering demons and a trench coat wearing angel.

Its always fun to think about who you’d want to conquer the world with, or who you’d want by your side during a crisis- or who you want to be by your side kicking some demonic butt- I’d probably always choose my sister, C- only because she’s very level headed and tends to remind me when I’m going off on a tangent or overreacting (too often). Plus, she’s really in tune with her spiritual side and I imagine that would only serve to help us fight demons and emerge victorious from battling hell and demons. Of course, were we TO battle things like this, we’d need to be appropriately outfitted and trained in techniques- you need to look the part when partaking in this kind of activity! Supernatural Season Six Surprises

Dean suprises Sam early in on during Supernatural Season Six with a sudden paternal side that emerges when the two brothers investigate a case of missing babies.

I think Sam was surprised- and really impressed by Dean’s paternal side- and I think that was the beginning of an entirely new side of Dean that we see- and perhaps, some new traits evolving from Sam as well.  It’s always fun to find out what our loved ones have for skills and talents that we don’t know about until something happens to bring those talents to the surface- sometimes in a funny way and sometimes in a heroic way!  I think we all have hidden talents and skills that we maybe don’t showcase or maybe don’t even realize ourselves quite yet that we have (as I think Dean did).

I want to sit at lunch with Sheldon, Raj, Wolowitz and Leonard.

The guys on ‘The Big Bang Theory’ have a very fun and playful work dynamic, often joking around with each other and playing games. Because they work at CalTech, most of their jokes revolve around astrophysics and Wolowitz’s lack of a PhD!

I don’t even need to work with people like the guys on Big Bang Theory- I just want to sit at lunch with them.  The lunch scenes are my favorites- and I think I’d just spend my lunch hour laughing at their antics and jokes (even when I don’t understand them) instead of eating (great diet plan?!)

I’ve never worked in an environment anything like the one at Cal-Tech on Big Bang Theory- I imagine it would be a lot of fun and never lonely.  Playing jokes and teasing one another would sure make the days pass quicker!

Nikita Season One: What we do for friends

During Season One of Nikita, Nikita and Alex grow and become a team as the show progresses, but aiding Nikita could mean death for Alex if she’s ever found out.

The friendship of Alex and Nikita is kind of a strange one- obviously I’ve never done something as Alex has for my friends (Hey, none of my friends are actual spies…that I’m aware of?!  Anyone have something they want to share with me?) so most of what I’ve done for friends is drive them to the airport, promise to be a godmother to their child(ren) or help them find important information (like bargains, sales, deals…lawyer phone numbers…you know, mundane stuff?)

Really, if I have someone who is a trusted friend, I’d do just about anything for them, aside from putting them before my family.  I wouldn’t hesitate to help a friend, no matter how odd the request.  I’ve shared nursing pads, birth stories, tears, coffee, why not funny stories?  I think I’m just too boring to be anywhere near as exciting as Nikita and her cohorts are.

What is the strangest request that you’ve ever done for a friend and given the choice now would you do it again?

Gossip Girl Season 4 on DVD plus bonus features

The complete fourth season of Gossip Girl not only has 22 episodes filled with love, betrayal, friendship and scandal, but also never-before-seen features such as unaired scenes and gag reels!
I don’t know about you but one of the best parts of owning series or movies on DVD is the bonus features- so often I find hilarious outtakes, extra footage (and often wonder why it wasn’t included in the series or film) and so much more that enhances the show/movie so much more!
The complete fourth season of Gossip Girl includes never-before-seen additional enhanced features: Bisoux a Paris (an inside look at Serene and Blair’s summer in the City of Lights), The Art of Making an Episode (an in-depth look at how Gossip Girl stories build from page to screen) and unaired scenes!  [click to continue…]

Would you change the future if you could?

At the end of Fringe Season 3, Peter makes the decision to sacrifice himself thus altering the future. If you were given the opportunity to change the future, would you take matters into your own hands, or would you trust in fate?

I would not change the future, given the chance.  As much as I’d want to- I think things happen for a reason.  I feel like messing with fate is asking for trouble but that’s my personal belief.  I do enjoy watching others mess with fate for my entertainment on television and the big screen, of course.  As much as I’d even like to go back and do some things differently in my life- I know that I’d not have learned the lessons I learned, nor gained the knowledge or experience I have now- and were things different, I would not have the life I have now.  I can’t imagine not having my husband nor all three of my children- I can’t imagine going back and changing anything about the past.  Although I could totally make an exception for that awful asymmetrical haircut I sported in sixth grade.  Yuck-o.

When Your Worlds Collide (Fringe: Season 3)

Season 3 of Fringe is set within two distinctive worlds where one world is affected by the actions that occur in the other.

How often do you feel like your professional and personal worlds collide? How does your online persona differ from who you present yourself as professionally?

My professional and personal worlds collide more and more frequently lately. With me, you kind of get what you get.  I’m Brett, I’m me, and this is what you get.  With some people that I’ve known in my travels, their personal and professional lives are totally separate, and their personas from those separate lives aren’t the same.  I can’t imagine what it would be like to act very differently at my place of work than my personal life and have those worlds collide.  Which of “you” would you act like most? First?  I’d be so confused.  I can’t imagine living in a world where you are affected by the actions of yourself in an entirely different world as the characters on Fringe are.  But that’s why the show is fun to watch- because someone else is imagining it for me!
