Barbar sent me the Eco8000 hair dryer a few weeks ago to try out.  Now, I have had horrible hair dryers in my time, haven’t we all?  I’ve always wanted a “real” dryer, like stylists use at salons- or like my sister has (she was a stylist before having kids).  It never occured to me that this was something that I should invest in, because the money spent a long time ago would have far better served me than the array of cheap, junky dryers I have used that broke within a year, and had to respend that same money time and time again.

My horrible hair dryer days are a thing of the past.  I’ve fallen in love, and making a long term commitment.  My new love?
The Barbar Ceramic Eco8000 Hair Dryer.

Isn’t it pretty?  I love it. Not just for its sleek design, although I do like the design.  But it works well.  I can dry my very fine but tons and tons of hair very quickly, which is key for me.  I can also dry it and hear conversations around me- something I am not used to.  I’ve never had a dryer so quiet!!  Added bonus? No coil heating element.  This has a ceramic heating element.  Less electricity and less radiation output.  (Who knew that not drying my hair for so many days/weeks/months years was eco-friendly?) This hair dryer also has an 11 foot cord, people.  You can move freely about your living space while drying your hair.  I was multitasking just today while drying my hair!!  11 FEET of cord!!!

The Barbar ECO 8000 Blow Dryer uses the latest in technology by having an eco-friendly ceramic heating element, as opposed to all standard dryers that have a coil heating element. The difference is use of electricity & output of radiation. The ECO 8000 has 5.0 mG (milligauss) output radiation. A standard 1,800 WATT dryer has over 200.0 mG! This amount of mG is comparable to the radiation output of a microwave. The ceramic heating element lasts 5x longer than a coil heating element. The ceramic heating element uses 90% electricity, turning it into heat. No energy is wasted, but saved. The coil heating element wastes electricity because it doesn’t use it, thus turning it into radiation. Unused electricity turns into radiation! The BARBAR ECO 8000 is truly eco-friendly; everything a blow dryer should be and much more.

•Air Flow 31-35 M/S
•AC Motor
•Negates radiation
•Cool shot release button
•11-foot professional cord
•1000 WATTS (blow power comparable to 1600 WATTS)
•Heat 266 F
•Saves electricity
•Multiple heat & speed settings

I love this hair dryer.  I love it for its great function, and yes, even for the price- I’ve spent FAR more than $150 on hair dryers in the last 7 years alone, and not one of them was particularly efficient, none had a ceramic heating element, and none lasted over 6 months except 1 which lasted about 10.  It also works efficiently.  I can dry my hair in about a third less time than with the clunky one I just gleefully tossed out shortly after my Eco8000 arrived!!  As a busy mom of three, time is a commodity- saving time is HUGE for me- and for busy women everywhere!!
