About Brett

I'm a 40 something lifestyle blogger living in Connecticut with my husband and our 3 kids, plus our two rescue pups. We love to hike, travel, play games, watch movies, and just be outside together! Having 3 active kids makes for a hectic schedule and I try to share content, recipes and other things that can help to make today's busy family life simpler, easier, or just plain more fun!

I started working full time at a local middle school in fall 2021 and some of my students are insistent that I am mean.

I use norwex soft makeup remover cloths on my baby’s skin instead of soap, and then use a thick paste like aquaphor on her. It’s almost gone!

It was recommended to start using Dove Sensitive Skin and not allow my son to spend too long in the shower or bath. We have been doing that for about a month now and it seems to be helping.

I currently have Eczema on my hand and what I found helps is wearing a glove at night to keep the lotion and the moisture in tact

Twitter.com/@janeeric03 we battled eczema & still do, but contact allergies can be causing flare ups.

To help my son with his eczema, (he’s away at college so it’s harder to do long distance, but I try) I bought him a cool-mist humidifier that he says helps a ton! I also make sure that he has a ready supply of goat milk pure soaps and hard lotions…his laundry is done in “baby formula” detergents. He has a steroid cream that he uses but it can only be used for 2 weeks at a time, and then he has to take a 2 week break. I hate this because he has been doing it for years now, and I don’t like the steroid use if he can avoid it, but it’s the only thing that seems to keep the eczema entirely at bay. If the neosporin line would help, that would be fantastic!

For my dry skin, I use a moisturizer as soon as I get out of the shower in the morning, and reapply before bed.
    Thanks!

my SO gets dry red itchy skin on his face. He has used a number of products and a few offer some relief. He uses lotion right after showing and sometimes throughout the day.

I try to make sure my skin is moisturized often so I don’t have as bad a skin. Thanks for the chance to enter.

I use aquafor on my kids especially at night, I completely coat them before bed and that helps with their very dry itchy and painful skin.

My tip is to ensure you adequately moisturize your skin and avoid anything containing fragrance or chemicals

I battle with eczema all year round and the best remedy I have to always moisturize my skin as soon as I get out of the shower. I have a prescription cream when I get really bad outbreaks, especially on my hands!

I have battled with eczema since I was a kid. My 6 year old daughter has it as well! I’ve found that hydrocortisone works very well! One time a ran out of it and my daughter had a patch of eczema that was really irritating her. I had a tube of Lansinoh HPA Lanolin (used for breastfeeding moms) and it worked surprisingly well!

Help spread the word. You're awesome for doing it!
