The War With Grandpa is now available to own on Digital and will be released on Blu-ray, DVD, and On-Demand on December 22, 2020. In the spirit of the film — and the holiday season — Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has come up with a “Holiday Peace Offering” prize pack that includes some REALLY amazing movie titles- and a giveaway to go with it for one of my readers! This post is in partnership with Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.
About The War With Grandpa: Based on Robert Kimmel Smith’s multi-award-winning beloved children’s book of the same name, the film follows a series of escalating shenanigans that ensue when a grandfather (Academy Award® winner Robert De Niro, The Irishman, Meet the Parents franchise) moves in with his daughter, forcing his grandson (Oakes Fegley, The Goldfinch, This Is Where I Leave You) to begrudgingly give up his bedroom. Packed with heart and hysterical hijinks from start to finish, THE WAR WITH GRANDPA is the perfect “family-friendly comedy” (Pete Hammond, Deadline) everyone can enjoy during the holiday and beyond.
Sixth-grader Peter (Fegley) is pretty much your average kid—he likes gaming, hanging with his friends and his beloved pair of Air Jordans. But when his recently widowed grandfather Ed (De Niro) moves in with Peter’s family, the boy is forced to give up his most prized possession of all, his bedroom. Unwilling to let such an injustice stand, Peter devises a series of increasingly elaborate pranks to drive out the interloper, but Grandpa Ed won’t go without a fight. Soon, the friendly combatants are engaged in an all-out war with side-splitting consequences.

My favorite prank was on my friends birthday when I got a round car-washing sponge, put frosting and decorated it and gave it to her, when she tried to cut into it she was struggling so I told her to use a different knife, and when she tried it same thing. I was trying so hard not to laugh.
saran wrap on the toilet seat LOL. I also liked the pencil mark on the quarter and getting someone to roll it down their face leaving a mark on their face.

My favorite prank was taking fishing line and tying it to a fake spider and attaching it to the inside of the fridge so whenever anyone opened the fridge it would like the spider was crawling to you really fast hahahahahaha

I’m not much of a prankster. At all. The only one I can think of (and it wasn’t me), but my husband told his friend we named our daughter Mario Lemieux.

My favorite prank was when I called my dad while watching cops and he heard them say “put your hands up” he was quiet for a while, when I kept saying “dad, dad” then he finally answered. Still till this day we laugh about it.

The best prank was doing my mom’s makeup while she was sleeping. She then woke up and went to the grocery story without looking in the mirror.

My favorite prank was drawing mustaches on my brothers with eyeliner when they were younger. One of my brothers went to the store and everything before he noticed.
My fave prank was putting a fake lizard in my sisters car.
I’m not a huge prank person and I don’t know if this counts or not, but my favorite Elf on the Shelf prank was them sitting is a pile of peas and they spelled out “oops, I peed”!
My favorite prank was probably doing toothpaste Oreos. It’s always funny to see the look on everyone’s face when they bite in to them.
My all-time favorite prank was when I took chalk markers and wrote all over my brother’s SUV while he was at work. He had no clue what was going on when he came out to his car.

Would it be bad if i said i really dont do pranks? I mean maybe stand out side the kids doorway and as they come out startle them? But I have heard of senior pranks where they parked a car inside the building… that was pretty cool…lol…

Ohhhh this is the perfect holiday giveaway! And we prank each other all the time in our home and keep each other laughing. My kids are always trying to hide around the house and jump out at each other. These days they have become more tech savvy and set up Alex to say funny things when you ask a normal question.
I once spent all night on 3/31 cutting out brown letter E’s and put them in a baking pan & covers it in foil. I then told the kids on the morning of April 1st that I had made them brownies that they could have for breakfast! They are so excited because this is something I wouldn’t typically allow as a breakfast food. Then they lifted the foil….. ?
