Well, I weighed in for my 4th week earlier this morning. (I have to be honest that I did weigh in on Monday and was down 1.7 from last Friday’s disappointing gain…which I shouldn’t have done but I was weak). The scale was down another 2.8 lbs for a total of 12.5 pounds lost in 4 weeks!!! I’m feeling awesome about this. I’m so thankful for this opportunity and glad to be sharing.
Speaking of opportunity, I had a not so great opportunity to go astray from the program, we were running super late and had to be someplace else so I got the kids some fast food- none for me, I had my lunch waiting at home. They, however, couldn’t wait. I’d ordered my littlest one a cheeseburger with nothing on it and she wanted absolutely nothing to do with it. I put it next to me on the console and said “I guess I’ll have this for lunch and skip the rest of it, don’t want to waste money.” Then I hear my 5 year old from the back telling me “Don’t do it, mom!! You won’t earn your bear!! You want the bear mom, its not worth it!!” You know what? She was right. My biggest cheerleader, my 5 year old. I wrapped the burger back up and thanked her for her reminder- and came home to my program lunch about an hour later. Today, I got to see the result of saying no to the burger and yes to my kid- and now I get to email my Nutrisystem contact and tell her I earned my first bear (we get one each time we pass a 10 lb loss).
My favorite foods this week? The Apple Strudel Scone and Fudge Graham Bar for LUNCH (yes, my friends, chocolate for lunch).
